Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: 10 January 2026  ·  Effective Date: 10 January 2026

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions:

  • "Horologia", "we", "us", "our" refers to the watch repair and restoration workshop trading as Horologia, located at 55 Jalan Maarof, Bangsar, 59000 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
  • "You", "Client", "Owner" refers to any individual or entity engaging our services.
  • "Service" refers to any watch servicing, cleaning, or restoration work we carry out.
  • "Watch" refers to any timepiece left in our care for service or assessment.
  • "Agreement" refers to these Terms and Conditions together with any written service scope agreed between us.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting an enquiry through our website, contacting us by phone or email, or leaving a watch at our workshop for assessment or service, you indicate that you have read and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all clients aged 18 and over.

3. Services

Horologia offers three defined service levels — Polish & Protect, Cabinet Service, and Grand Feu Restoration — as described on our website at solutions page. The scope of each service is defined at the point of agreement. Additional work beyond the agreed scope will be discussed with you before proceeding.

We reserve the right to decline or limit a service where a watch's condition, complexity, or parts availability make completion impractical.

4. Enquiries and Assessments

Submitting an enquiry does not constitute a service booking. An initial assessment of your watch is carried out without charge. No service work will begin until you have reviewed our condition report and given explicit approval to proceed.

5. Custody of Your Watch

When your watch is left with us, we accept responsibility for its safekeeping during the agreed service period. We exercise reasonable care in storing watches in a secure, locked, and climate-appropriate environment when not actively on the workbench. While in our custody, we maintain appropriate care, but we are not responsible for pre-existing damage, wear, or conditions undisclosed at the time of handover.

We recommend that you photograph and document the condition of your watch before delivery to us.

6. Service Timeline

Indicative timelines for each service are stated on our website and in the condition report provided. These are estimates and may vary based on parts availability, calibre complexity, or other factors. We will communicate any significant change in timeline to you in advance.

7. Pricing and Payment

Service prices are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and are as follows at the time of writing:

  • Polish & Protect: MYR 1,650
  • Cabinet Service: MYR 4,500
  • Grand Feu Restoration: MYR 8,900

Prices include labour. Parts required beyond standard service scope will be presented and priced separately prior to procurement. Payment is due on collection unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept bank transfer and major debit cards.

8. Parts and Originality

We make every reasonable effort to source appropriate replacement parts and to preserve original components where they can be returned to service. The availability of original or brand-matched parts cannot always be guaranteed. Where alternatives are proposed, we will discuss this with you before proceeding.

9. Uncollected Watches

Completed watches should be collected within 30 days of notification. After 90 days without contact, we reserve the right to charge reasonable storage costs. After 12 months of non-contact and non-collection despite reasonable attempts to reach the owner, the watch may be disposed of to recover costs, in accordance with applicable Malaysian law.

10. Limitation of Liability

Our liability to you is limited to the service fees paid. We do not accept liability for loss of use, diminution in value, or consequential losses arising from delays, service outcomes, or any matter beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

11. Disclaimers

We do not provide guarantees regarding timekeeping accuracy beyond the regulation tolerances noted in service records. Results of restoration work depend on the condition of the watch received. We offer honest assessments and careful work — not promises of specific outcomes.

12. Intellectual Property

All content on the Horologia website — text, images, design — is owned by Horologia or used with permission. You may not reproduce, copy, or distribute any content without our prior written consent.

13. Privacy

Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of this Agreement.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from or connected to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia. We encourage clients to contact us directly to resolve any concerns informally before pursuing formal proceedings.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The most current version will always be available on our website. Continued engagement with our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
